The title of my assessment 2 is “The Mood”, which is different colors show the mood that everyone experiences every day. My main idea is to show a person’s everyday mood through about three minutes of video — empty, calm, melancholy, happy and sad. In assessment 1, I hand-painted 12 storyboards and submitted a 1-min video to show the general meaning of my final work. I have established my main idea in assessment 1 and will not change it. I designed six colors in assessment 1, but I think the content of six colors is too rich, but too many colors will lead to excessive repetition. This will make the whole video past lengthy, but not conducive to expression. So, I chose to delete the gray and keep the white, red, blue, green and black. When studying my works, I was inspired by two YouTube video’s which are “Colour In Storytelling” and “Visual Storytelling”. I will put all references to inspired video and reference materials in the reference list at the end of this article. In assessment 1, my idea is still weak. It is only a simple color conversion, but there is no substantial content. Through the inspiration of these two videos, I think I can add some other elements in video, not just simple color change. I made a complete video in assessment 2 and added some elements more in line with the mood represented by the color in video, which is, and added emojis and battery animation in video to express the mood represented by the color. At the same time, I also chose to add animation to bring some funny elements to push the whole video climax. The use of music and the addition of animation are to make the audience feel as much as possible, so that the audience can more deeply integrate into the video. Because the whole video is like recording a person’s day which is something that we all experience. I chose the sea as the background of the blue element, because the first feeling of the sea is deep and mysterious, which can best reflect the blue mood. I chose sports for the scene of red element, because sports can bring people the most passion. I chose the grass and woods for the green scene, because the grass and trees bring us a sense of relaxation and calm. Black and white are the main elements of bed, because white represents empty people’s mood when they get up every day, and black represents sad, which is also what most people experience after a day of stress. When I was doing assessment 1, I accepted my tutor’s advice and chose five different styles of music to match up five different colors in the following meeting. I made four of these five musics, and one of them was music. The white, black, blue and green part of the background music is made by me, while the red part of music I choose is from the Internet.
